FORT LAUDERDALE, Fl. – Three female karate athletes from Arnett’s Martial Arts America in Lewiston earned medals at AAU Karate Nationals in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from July 5th through July 8th, 2023. Coach Sydni Stocks of the Martial Arts America Competition Team and her sister, Rhyli Stocks, competed in the black belt divisions at Nationals, earning Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in several kumite divisions. Kya Svancara, also of the Competition Team, earned the Silver medals in Kumite and Weapons divisions and also earned a Bronze in the team kumite division.

Rhyli Stocks – (15 year old Black Belt Females): 1st Place Team Kumite; 3rd Place Ippon Kumite; 3rd Place Sanbon Kumite
Kya Svancara – (9 Year old Green Belt Females): 2nd Place Kobudo (weapons); 2nd Place Kumite; 3rd Place Team Kumite
