Here is the letter of nomination that was received for Ms. Farrington:

I may be bias because she is my mother, but I would like to nominate Ami Farrington for the Alliance Title & Escrow’s Teacher of the Month. It is nearly impossible to know where to begin when describing the remarkable person that is Ami Farrington.
The first thing that comes to my mind would be her huge heart, not only for her students, but for everyone she comes to know. Ami is the Special Education Teacher at Centennial Elementary School in Lewiston Idaho and she supports and cares for her students as if they were her own children. She will spend money out of her own pocket to make sure her students have everything they need to get through the day as well as sending things home with them for the evenings if needed. I don’t know many people who would go above and beyond like that, but thankfully the world has one amazing person who would.
Ami was determined to be a teacher and worked very hard to become one. She worked during the day as a paraprofessional at Sacagawea Junior High and attended school at night to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Teacher Education with a Special Education Certification. As a part-time student, it took seven years to complete her degree. All of her hard work finally paid off and she has been happily teaching for the past twelve years. The strength and determination it took to coordinate all the components of her studies as well as being a mother of two, is beyond compare.
Her care, guidance, encouragement, and support of her students makes an everlasting impression and our valley is lucky to have an educator as dedicated as her. Thank you for your time and consideration of this amazing candidate.
