Asotin and Garfield County Firefighters work to fight wildfire shortly after midnight.

Asotin County- Asotin and Garfield County Firefighters were called to a wildland fire just before 1am Monday morning.
Four wildland engines and two tankers responded about 10 miles west of Clarkston near the the Wilson Banner ranch along highway 12.
The fire consumed about 2 acres on a steep hillside. The cause of the fire may have been a power line issue. Avista crews also responded.
There were no reported injuries. Firefighters were on scene about 3 hours checking hot spots in heavy sagebrush.
