KAMIAH —The Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests and PotlatchDeltic advise the public that maintenance work will cause delays on Forest Service Road #247 between Cooper Creek and Sousie Creek.
Delays of four hours or more should be expected between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (PDT), Monday through Friday while crews replace cross-drain culverts along the 247 Road. At least one lane will be open without delays outside of working hours to facilitate public access to the forest’s North Fork Ranger District.
Replacing these culverts is standard maintenance that will help improve drainage in the road corridor and lessen potential future impacts from runoff and heavy precipitation. Forest Service Road #247 is jointly managed by PotlatchDeltic and the Forest Service.
