At 23:48 hrs. the Lewiston Fire Department was dispatched to a brush fire on Bryden Canyon Road near the pedestrian overpass. First arriving crews found two seperate brush fires in that area and another larger brush fire near the 8th Street overpass.
Crews attacked the fires with multiple handlines and the fire was knocked down in about 25 minutes. Crews remained on scene for an hour to check for additional hot spots and overhauled the fire.
The department responded with 1 structural engine, 2 brush trucks, 1 chief officer and 2 fire inspectors, totaling 10 personnel.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
