MOSCOW ― Children and their families are invited to bring a favorite stuffed animal for a wellness visit during Gritman Medical Center’s Teddy Bear Clinic at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 17.
The free event includes activities to help children learn about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle in a fun and educational way. In addition to stations throughout Gritman’s downtown hospital campus, first responders and others – including the Palouse Discovery Science Center – will be on hand.
“The Teddy Bear Clinic is a Gritman tradition and a fun event to introduce kids to the hospital in an entertaining and educational way,” Gritman President and CEO Kara Besst said. “We’re excited to welcome children and families back to the hospital to celebrate with us.”
A variety of stations representing departments throughout the hospital will be open from 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at 700 S. Main St. in Moscow. Kids can adhere bandages to their stuffed animal to fix any broken bones, inspect their stuffed animals’ fur underneath a microscope, see the inside of an ambulance, and meet Gritman’s cheerful Charlie Bear mascot. Check-in for the event will be located at our Emergency Department entrance or our Main Admitting entrance on the south side of the building.
Attendees are asked to park in Gritman’s south-side visitor parking lot or to utilize street parking. For the safety of those participating, Main and Eighth streets will be closed immediately surrounding the hospital.
Goodie bags and refreshments will be available while they last. For more information on the event, visit Caution: EmailHosting.cloud has detected a possible phishing attempt from “linkprotect.cudasvc.com” claiming to be gritman.org/teddybearclinic.
