City of Pullman Sidewalk Work Starts Thursday, August 4

PULLMAN – On Thursday, August 4, the City of Pullman will begin construction on select Pioneer Hill sidewalks and is scheduled to finish by October 28. Crews will mark sidewalks for removal and replacement as they move through the work area.

The following is the planned work schedule:

  • Schedule A – Concrete sidewalk repairs targeting the south section of Pioneer Hill
(between Crestview Street and Dexter Street).
  • Schedule B – Miscellaneous concrete sidewalk repairs elsewhere within the Pullman city limits.
  • Schedule C – Repair of the two concrete driveway entrances to Fire Station 1 on S. Grand Avenue.
  • Schedule D – Installation of a rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB) system at the intersection of Colorado Street and Ruby Street.

The city will mark the sidewalk, community members will need to park their vehicle(s) 15 feet away. If your driveway gets marked, expect it to be inaccessible for about 10 days.

Project streets will remain open to traffic during the project duration. Drivers should proceed cautiously in work areas and expect occasional delays during active construction. Construction is limited to weekdays from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Expect occasional sidewalk closures and associated signage.

The City of Pullman thanks you for accommodating crews so they can help upgrade the sidewalk situation.
