Release from Clarkston Farmer’s Market
July 3, 2024

CLARKSTON – The Clarkston Farmers Market will remain in Beachview Park for Thursday, July 4 but will change open hours to 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Clarkston Farmers Market regularly operates in Beachview Park every Thursday from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. June through August, changing hours to 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in September and will resume with regular hours on July 8.

The market offers children’s activities with the WSU SNAP-Ed Food$ense program to earn $2 Power of Produce (POP) Club bucks. The POP Club is sponsored by Idaho Central Credit Union in June and September and by Cutting Edge Credit Union in July and August. A Family Club sponsored by Lewis-Clark Credit Union is also available for families to learn about the market and participate in healthy family activities to earn $10 toward healthy food options.

In addition to the Kid’s POP Club bucks for fresh produce and the Family Club, the Clarkston Farmers Market processes SNAP EBT and participates in the Washington State SNAP Market Match program which matches SNAP dollars up to $25 to purchase fresh produce and edible seeds and plants per market day. Some vendors also accept the WIC and Senior Nutrition Program used to purchase fresh produce, as well as honey for seniors. The Clarkston Farmers Market also accepts credit and debit cards for customers to pay for items for which vendors do not accept cards. Visit the market info booth for information on any of these programs or offerings.

The market is still accepting applications and seeking food and farmer vendors, as well as all other vendor types, including food truck vendors. Food and farmer vendors eligible to accept SNAP will have free booth space, with only a $25 application fee. The market also allows non-profits to set up at the market with no fees if offering information or activities to the public. The Clarkston Farmers Market also hosts musical entertainment by local musicians.

As a 501(c)3, the Clarkston Farmers Market invites interested businesses to join season advertising sponsor Elite Home Health and Hospice to provide sponsorships for entertainment, additional programming, or advertising for the market. Those interested in participating as a vendor, performer, or sponsor please reach out to the market email at [email protected], contact us on Facebook at @clarkstonfarmersmarket, or go to our website at https://marketspread.com/market/19472/clarkston-farmers-market/
