ASOTIN – The Asotin County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested and charged a Clarkston man with five felonies Friday afternoon on Appleside in the Clarkston Heights for damage to the old fire station.
A witness called 911 and reported a man was breaking windows out of the old Asotin County Fire District Station. It was then reported he was out in the street hitting cars with a piece of wood.
Deputies arrived and located the man in the new fire station parking lot. He was resisting arrest and struggling with the officers. He was arrested on malicious mischief charges, resisting, and various assault charges.
Asotin County Fire officials reported that 16 windows were broken out of the station. The man was transported to Tri-State Hospital for self-inflicted head wounds and then to the Asotin County Jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on all the charges on Monday.
