Conservation Corps Field Seasons End Last Week.

Last week signaled the end of the Clearwater Basin Youth Conservation Corps (CBYCC) and Kelly Forks Residential Youth Conservation Corps (KFRYCC) field seasons! Check out the photos and celebrate another great season of work completed by the CBYCC and KFRYCC crews!

The crews ended their season at Winchester Lake State Park, first with a “Careers in Natural Resources” day, where partners they worked with throughout the season discussed how to get a job with their organization. The youth were also showed how to maneuver job searches through Idaho Department of Labor, and the Federal Government’s USAJobs application process.

On the second day of the season-end, crews presented about the projects they worked on, and discussed how their seasons went. Many youth expressed interest and intent in pursuing employment in natural resources in their futures, an exciting prospect for our local youth! Finally, the crews ended their last day with a barbecue, and some fun outdoor recreational activities!

Big thank you to all who have supported the CBYCC and KFRYCC programs! Thanks especially to Clearwater Economic Development Association for their hard work running the CBYCC program this year, and big thank you to all the youth that conducted important natural resource projects this summer on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, and the many partner lands in North Central Idaho!
