Lewiston Police Department Detectives arrested Dakota R Hall (24 yoa, Lewiston) for Lewd  Conduct with a Child under Sixteen Years of Age Tuesday evening. Detectives were called to a  residence in Lewiston when a family member of the 6 year old walked in on Mr. Hall allegedly  having sex with the child. The family member walked in and observed Mr. Hall on top of the child  in bed. Detectives interviewed the victim who stated Mr. Hall anal penetrated the child with his  penis. The child then told detectives that “stuff came out of his thingy.” When Mr. Hall was  interviewed, he allegedly admitted to the sexual act but stated he didn’t ejaculate. The LPD  Detective Cody Bloomsburg asked Mr. Hall “To be clear, today was the first day you’ve raped a  child?” and Mr. Hall reportedly stated, “yeah.”

Mr. Hall was booked into the Nez Perce County Detention Facility on the single felony charge  with a maximum penalty of 25 years. In court today, Nez Perce County Prosecutor Justin Coleman  argued for a $1 million bond stating Mr. Hall is a great risk to our community and children at large.  Magistrate Judge Olds set the bond at $1 million.

“I look forward to the day that Mr. Hall is escorted out of the courtroom and heading to prison for  a lengthy sentence for what he put a 6 year old child through. There is no suitable punishment for  a crime like this,” said Prosecutor Justin Coleman
