Deputies Investigating Driver for Impaired Driving after Colliding with Back of Semi-Truck and Running off the Road in Colton, WA.

COLFAX, WA – Tuesday afternoon, deputies responded to a collision in Colton, WA after reports came in that a vehicle had struck the rear bumper portion of a semi-truck before driving off the road into a chain link fence.   

Based on the initial information, investigators believe the driver of the late model Honda Accord, identified as 32yoa Phoebe Adams of Pullman, was traveling southbound on SR 195 in the town of Colton at the time she collided with the back portion of a semi-truck also traveling SB.  According to several witnesses, the driver was driving erratically prior to the incident, reportedly using the shoulder of the road to pass other vehicles.  After colliding with the semi-truck, the driver then drove off the roadway into a chain-link fence of a private residence.

Emergency crews from Fire District 14 and the Lewiston Fire Department initially responded to render aid. Adams was later transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Hospital for minor injuries. 

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating this incident as a possible Impaired Driving Collison.
