LEWISTON – Two freshmen pushed their matches to a third set, but Lewis-Clark State Tennis was unable to earn a point in a meeting with NCAA Division I opponent Northern Arizona.
The loss drops the Warrior record to 8-12 on the season.
Dan Felker bounced back after losing the opening set to push his No. 1 singles contest to a third set. The freshman lost in a third-set tiebreaker to Maikel De Boes 6-3, 1-6, 7-6(6).
Declan Townsend also won the second set before losing in the third. The freshman lost to Facundo Tumosa in No. 2 singles 7-5, 5-7, 6-4.
Itaru Kikuchi and Daniel Tevez pushed their No. 3 doubles match to a tiebreaker before losing to Dominik Buzonies and Daniel Dillon 7-6(5).
