Walla Walla Balloon Stampede Set for May 8–11

WALLA WALLA, WA – The Walla Walla Balloon Stampede is set to return to Howard Tietan Park from Thursday, May 8 through Sunday, May 11, 2025. The event is free to attend and open to the public.

The schedule begins with Kid’s Day on Thursday morning, where children can enjoy tethered balloon rides starting at 5:45 a.m. Mass ascensions featuring more than 20 hot air balloons are planned each morning from Friday to Sunday between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

A highlight of the weekend, the Nite Glow Spectacular, will take place Friday evening, May 9, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Balloons will begin glowing after sunset, around 8:15 p.m. The evening will also feature live music, food vendors, and a free Valley Transit shuttle between downtown Walla Walla and the park.
