JEROME, ID – A fatal crash occurred Tuesday morning on US93 at 100 S in Jerome County, according to the Idaho State Police.
The collision took place at 7:50 a.m. on February 18th and involved two vehicles. A 54-year-old man from Filer was driving a 2005 Subaru Legacy northbound when he attempted to turn left onto 100 S. The Subaru failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck by a southbound 2019 Ford F250 pickup driven by a 25-year-old man from Bellevue.
The driver of the Subaru was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. The driver of the Ford F250, who was wearing a seatbelt, did not require transportation.
The crash blocked the intersection for three hours. Idaho State Police continue to investigate the incident.
