Clarkston, WA- Released by the Clarkston Professional Firefighters local 2299
“Tuesday morning at approximately 5:30, CFD was dispatched to the 1200 block of Elm Street for a reported structure fire. Asotin County Fire District #1 was dispatched auto aid and one engine from Lewiston Fire Department was requested for mutual aid. First sure crews found a single wide mobile home fully charged with smoke, but no flames visible from outside. Attack crew made entry and searched for victims of the hotline as it was not initially clear if everybody was out of the home. The attack crew quickly found the seat of the fire and knocked it down. Crews remained on scene for approximately an hour and a half mopping up and retrieving important items from the home for the homeowners. Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced family. Thank you to our partners at LFD and ACFD#1 for their quick response and assistance. There were a total of 4 engines, 2 ambulances and 3 support vehicles with 20 personnel on scene. No injuries reported and the cause is still under investigation”.
