(AAA) – For those traveling this weekend, the average price of a gallon of gas hit another all-time high on Sunday. According to AAA, the national average price per gallon of regular gasoline rose to $4.61. Whereas, the average price in Idaho is $4.72. This is up from $4.61 a week ago and $3.24 at this time last year.
Lewiston customers can expect to pay an average of $4.70 per gallon of regular.
The national average price of diesel fell slightly to $5.52 per gallon. Though in the local market, diesel has steadily risen and now stands at an average of $5.385 per gallon.
Experts believe the increase in crude oil prices and seasonal travel are two key factors in the price increase.
