LEWISTON – According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Idaho on Sunday is $4.87 per gallon. That is up from $4.83 the day before and $4.45 a month ago.
The organization is also reporting an average cost of 4.93 per gallon of regular gasoline in Lewiston—a price increase on par with the state average of $.04 since Saturday.
Neighboring states are faring no better. AAA is also reporting that Washington State is one of nine that have exceeded the $5.00 per gallon mark, with an average price of $5.39 per gallon of regular unleaded. Fortunately, for Clarkston residents, the estimated average is only $4.89 per gallon—$.50 below the state average. Oregon, too, has breached $5.00 per gallon. The estimated state average price per gallon has been reported at $5.40.
As the national price averages continue to break daily records, we can expect local prices to increase as well.
