Governor Orders Flags to be Raised in Idaho for Trump Inauguration

(Boise, ID) Idaho Governor Brad Little has ordered that U.S. flags and State of Idaho flags be raised to full staff from sunrise to sunset on Monday, Jan. 20, to recognize the Inauguration of President Donald Trump.

A White House spokesperson has said that there are no plans to change the order currently in place – that U.S. flags are to remain flying at half-mast across the country in honor of the passing of former President Jimmy Carter.

“The Democrats are all ‘giddy’ about our magnificent American Flag potentially being at ‘half mast’ during my Inauguration,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

In Idaho, flags will be lowered to half staff again at sunset on Jan. 20, until sunset on Jan. 28, continuing to honor of President Jimmy Carter.

“Idaho will recognize the swearing in of our 47th president, Donald Trump, by raising our flags on this momentous day. This is a historic transition in our nation’s leadership, and we will celebrate it,” Governor Little said.
