LEWISTON – The Bollinger Building, also commonly known as the Anne Bollinger Performing Arts Center, has been sold to a private investor. In a property sale transaction finalized on
Friday, the historic landmark changed hands, marking a significant chapter in its storied history.

Initially listed for auction by the City of Lewiston in September 2023, with a starting bid of $67,000, the Bollinger Building attracted considerable attention, yet no bids materialized. The Lewiston City Council then directed staff to acquire the expertise of an experienced real estate firm to navigate the complexities of its sale on the public market.

Local real estate company Team B.M.C. – Silvercreek Realty Group was selected. With their guidance, the Bollinger Building embarked on a journey to find its rightful steward, culminating in today’s successful sale after 105 days on the market. The listing price was $125,000, and the final sales price was $130,000.

Reflecting on the unique challenges encountered during the process, Gary Bergen of Team B.M.C. shared, “It was a learning experience for us. We specialize in both residential and commercial properties, but the Bollinger Building presented a distinct set of challenges. Its rich history, intricate aging structure, and the imperative to find a buyer passionate about its preservation posed a rewarding yet demanding endeavor.”
