Idaho and Washington Free Fishing Days Happening Next Weekend

LEWISTON – Anglers across the region can take advantage of Idaho and Washington’s free fishing days next week.

Idaho Department of Fish and Game is hosting the state’s Free Fishing Day on Saturday, June 11. They will be holding events across the state to help novice anglers learn the ins and outs of the sport. IDFG has also stocked local ponds and lakes in anticipation of the event.

Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has scheduled Washington’s statewide Free Fishing Weekend for June 11-12. The two-day event coincides with two State Land Free Days, waiving the $10 Discover Pass fee to enter state parks and Washington State Departments of Natural Resources and Fish & Wildlife lands.

While no fishing licenses will be required in either state for Free Fishing Days, all other state regulations remain in effect, including size limits, bag limits, and catch record card requirements.
