Idaho County Man Arrested for Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Hydrocodone

(Idaho County) On February 1, 2025, at approximately 5:51 PM, Idaho County deputies were on patrol on Highway  12 at milepost 68, when they stopped a vehicle for a routine traffic stop. 

While speaking with the driver, the deputies noticed an assault rifle sitting in the backseat in plain view. The driver was known to the deputies, and they knew he was a convicted felon. When asked,  the driver confirmed he was a convicted felon, and he knew he was not to be in possession of a firearm. He was asked to step from the vehicle and was detained and the vehicle was searched. 

Kip Lane, age 54, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine and hydrocodone, three counts of felony unlawful possession of a firearm, misdemeanor possession of marijuana,  misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of a prescription drug without a prescription, and misdemeanor driving without privileges.
