Idaho County Sheriff’s Office Made Three Felony Arrests Over the Past Weekend

On November 5, 2022, Idaho County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a camp outside of Slate Creek in response to a report of several camping violations.
Idaho County K9 Mic performed an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted. A search of the vehicle resulted in several arrests.

Brett Hayball, age 51, homeless, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of oxycodone, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.

Gretchen Hayball, age 45, homeless, was arrested for felony criminal possession of a financial transaction card, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of oxycodone, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.


On November 5, 2022, Idaho County deputies were on routine patrol in the Kooskia area. Deputies noticed a vehicle parked at the boat ramps and stopped to make contact with them and could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Melinda Marble, age 34, of Missoula, Montana was arrested for felony possession of
methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of mushrooms, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
