Idaho County Sherriff’s Office and ITD Issue Roadway Flood Warnings

IDAHO – There have been several reports of flooding and debris on the highway due to recent heavy rains. The Idaho County Sherriff’s Office and the Idaho Transportation Department have issued advisories for the following locations:

  • Big Salmon Rd, MP 20.5, between French Creek Rd and Fall Creek – Reported rockslide with lane blockage. Traffic has been reduced to one lane.
  • Highway 162, MP 20 – Water flooding onto the roadway from Sevenmile Creek.
  • Hwy 13, MP .5/Main St Grangeville – Flooding between State St and Mill St on Main St in Grangeville. There is a significant amount of water on the roadway and city and state crews are working on the incident.
  • Hwy 13, MP 4 Butcher Creek – Flooding over the highway, ITD put out cones and signs to warn drivers. Use caution in the area.
  • Hwy 13, MP 16.2 – Creek flooded over the road and there is debris on the highway.
  • Hwy 13, MP 16.5 – Mudslide covering at least half of the north-bound lane and was still active.
  • Hwy 13, MP 9-24 – Several reports throughout the evening of rocks in the highway between the bottom of Harpster grade and Kooskia. Use caution when traveling through the area as rocks continue to fall and rising water levels are causing hazardous conditions. The highway is open at this time.
  • Hwy 95, MP 195 to MP 223 – between Riggins and White Bird
  • Hwy 12, MP 72 to MP 150 – Kooskia to Jerry Johnson Hot springs.
