PRIEST RIVER – Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on July 20th, 2022, at approximately 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of US Highway 2 and Eastside Road in Priest River, Idaho.
The driver of a white Dodge Dakota pickup truck, a 31-year-old male, of Priest River, Idaho, struck a black Jeep CJ7 attempting to turn onto Eastside Road from eastbound US Highway 2. The Jeep was being driven by a 64-year-old male, with his juvenile passenger in the front passenger seat.
Both occupants of the Jeep were ejected from the vehicle. The driver of the Jeep was transported to an area hospital via air ambulance and his juvenile passenger was transported to an area hospital via ground ambulance. The driver of the Dodge pickup was not transported to the hospital.
Nobody involved in the crash was wearing seatbelts.
Traffic on US Highway 2 was slowed for approximately 4-hours to allow emergency responders to assist those involved. The family of those involved in the crash have been made aware of this incident.
This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
