ISP Investigate Vehicle Collision South of Cascade

Idaho State Police are investigating a vehicle collision that occurred at 7:21 a.m. on Monday February 6th, 2023, on State Highway 55 at milepost 95, south of Cascade, in Valley County.

A 2016 Subaru WRX was traveling northbound when the driver lost control. The Subaru crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a 1996 International Crane that was traveling southbound.

The Subaru was occupied by two males. The crane was occupied by a 34-year-old male from McCall, Idaho. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. The two occupants of the Subaru were transported to a nearby hospital by ground ambulance.

Traffic on State Highway 55 was blocked in both directions for approximately one and a half hours to allow emergency responders to assist those involved.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
