Wallowa Whitman National Forest Service- A juvenile black bear has become habituated to contact with humans and is entering camp sites at the Pittsburg Landing campground in Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. The Forest Service is temporarily closing the campground at Pittsburg Landing until the bear can be managed and is no longer a threat to the public.

The Pittsburg Landing boat ramp and Snake River trailhead will remain open for use. Stay alert!
