LEWISTON – On Saturday, June 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Kiwanis Club of the LC Valley with support from Idaho Fish and Game and the City of Lewiston Parks & Recreation Department, will celebrate the grand opening of the fishing shed recently constructed at Kiwanis Park along Snake River Avenue.
Fishing gear will be supplied by the Idaho Fish and Game for use by families in the local waterways and made available to borrow throughout the summer as the shed is staffed.
Local Kiwanis Club members spent time over the past month assembling the shed and continue to invite sponsorship from the community.
The Kiwanis Club of the LC Valley looks forward to helping children and families spend time together experiencing recreational fishing without an expensive investment in equipment.
The construction of the structure has been made possible by a donation from P1FCU.
