(Kootenai County, ID) On June 21, 2024 at approximately 1733 hours, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and Coeur d’Alene Police were notified that two juveniles had escaped from the Kootenai County Juvenile Detention Center. Both agencies immediately began to search for the two juvenile males. One of them was located in the area of 4th Street and Gregory Lane by Coeur d’Alene Police. The other was last seen running north from the Juvenile Detention Center across Dalton Avenue.
The outstanding juvenile has been identified as 15 year old Caden J. Schreibeis. He is described as being 5’09” tall, approximately 150 pounds, with medium length brown hair. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and blue sweatpants.
The other juvenile that was located was booked on injuring a jail facility, conspiracy to commit escape, and escape. He was arrested without incident.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone who has information on Caden’s whereabouts to call (208)446-1300.
