On June 16, 2024 at approximately 8:51 pm, deputies with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old Mission State Park in Cataldo reference a missing female. It was reported by family that 62 year old Linda Kent had gone missing while visiting the park. She was last seen near the boat launch.

Linda is described as approximately 5’09” tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds with silver hair. She was last seen wearing a pink hoodie and green pants. According to family, Linda suffers from dementia and may not immediately respond if contacted.
Deputies utilized forward looking infrared (FLIR), drones, search and rescue dogs, and watercraft in an attempt to locate Linda. ABLE 1 was also called to assist. KCSO’s Volunteer Search and Rescue were dispatched to the scene and have since taken over the search efforts.
