CORVALLIS, Ore. – Lewis-Clark State Men’s Basketball was named the Cascade Conference Under Armour Team of the Week by the conference office after dominating CCC play over the weekend. The Warriors maintained a share of the top spot in the conference with victories over Southern Oregon and No. 24 Oregon Tech.
The Warriors improved to 9-1 in Cascade Conference action thanks to a 75-58 win over SOU on Friday and an 87-75 upset victory over OIT on Saturday. John Lustig and Davian Brown each averaged 15.5 points per game and Quentin Raynor added 14.5 points per game off the bench. LC State was efficient with 55% shooting from the field and 44.8% from 3-point range.
On the defensive end, the Warriors outrebounded their opponents 74-51 and held SOU and OIT to just 25.5% shooting from beyond the arc. Freshman Alton Hamilton led the defense with seven rebounds per game and Lustig tallied five steals and two blocks.
UP NEXT
The Warriors are on the road for the remainder of January and open the stretch in Portland next weekend. LC State will face Warner Pacific on Friday and Multnomah on Saturday.
