Lewiston Civic Theatre Announces Elf The Musical, Holiday fun for the Whole Family 

LEWISTON – Lewiston Civic Theatre is excited to announce Elf The Musical, a new holiday classic for the stage. 

Elf The Musical, book was adapted by Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan with lyrics by Chad Beguelin and music by Matthew Sklar. Based on the New Line Cinema film by David Berenbaum, this stage production is directed by Larry Goodwin, with musical direction by Amy Baker Stout, and choreography by Abby Seward. The show runs December 1 – 11, 2022 in the former Lewiston High School Auditorium 1114 9th Ave, Lewiston.  Performances are THURSDAYS – SATURDAYS at 7pm, and Sundays at 2pm. 

Featuring songs written by the creator of Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway and a book by the writer of Annie, The Producers, and Hairspray this feels and sounds like a sweet holiday treat for all ages. (Maple syrup not included.) Lewiston Civic Theatre is thrilled to welcome a huge cast of local talent, including Alex Everett as Buddy the Elf (last seen in Puffs), and Monica Evans as Jovie (last seen at LCT in the title role in Cinderella). Based on the beloved holiday film, this hilarious big-elf-living-in-a-small-world comedy follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity in a holiday-bedazzled New York City. All the charm and hilarity of the movie, with songs that will have you singing loud for all to hear!

Director Larry Goodwin, says, “Every rehearsal has us laughing! This show is going to be the perfect holiday event for the LC Valley and beyond. It is fun for the whole family, and just what we need to spread Christmas cheer.”
