LEWISTON – At 3:42 p.m. Lewiston Fire Department responded to a reported commercial structure fire at 2322 16th Avenue – Blue Ribbon Linen Supply. First arriving units found black smoke and fire from the outside rear of the building.
Initial crews attacked the fire with a master stream followed by a 1 3/4″ preconnect and the fire was knocked down within the first 15 minutes from dispatch. Crews remained on scene for 50 minutes overhauling and checking for extension.
The department responded with 3 engines, 1 truck, 2 medic units, and 2 chief officers. Auto aid units from Clarkston Fire Department and Clearwater Paper Fire responded for assistance.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time and under investigation.
