Lewiston Police Department introduce the new narcotic detection K9 Ziva

Lewiston, ID- The lewiston Police department shared the following annoucment:
“We would like to introduce everyone to K9 Ziva, our new narcotics detection K9. K9 Ziva is a 16 month old Belgian Malinois from Germany and is trained to detect methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana. K9 Ziva recently completed her certifications for the state of Idaho.
The process to purchase K9 Ziva started in Fall of 2022 when it was determined that K9 Marta was nearing the end of her 10 years of service due to health issues. We wanted to give ample time for the community and LPD to honor K9 Marta”.
