LEWISTON – The Lewiston Police Department will be participating in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 30th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Community members can dispose of their unwanted over-the-counter medications and prescriptions drugs at the Lewiston Police Department, 1224 F Street.
A helpful tip is to put any pills/tablets into a plastic zip-top baggie and discard the packaging. The baggie can be dropped in the collection box. Use a black marker to black out any personal identification on the packaging before discarding it into the trash.
They do not accept syringes or sharps, any injectable liquids, or inhalers. They will only accept pills and patches.
The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
