Lewiston Police Warn of Scam Phone Calls Pretending to be P1FCU

(Lewiston, ID) The Lewiston Police Department issued a warning on Friday about a scam affecting the valley. Scammers are using a caller ID that appears to be from P1FCU and claiming to be from the “fraud department.” They attempt to trick victims into revealing personal information, such as social security numbers, birth dates, or account numbers.

Police are reminding area residents to never share personal information over the phone, even if the caller sounds convincing. If you receive such a call, hang up and contact your bank directly to verify whether the call was legitimate.
