LEWISTON – All it took was a $4.50 wager, a push of a button, and a lot of luck for Linda Jorgensen of Lewiston to change her life forever.

In an announcement on Friday from the Clearwater River Casino and Lodge, Jorgensen’s $1,541,533.11 jackpot is the largest in the Casino’s history, playing a Wheel of Fortune Cash Link Video Gaming Machine (VGM) with a wager of $4.50.

In the announcement, Dan Kane, General Manager at the Clearwater River Casino & Lodge said, “We are pleased to see one of our patrons win such a huge amount. Several years back we had a winner for over $600,000 but this million-dollar win is considered a life-changing amount.”

The VGM manufacturer, International Game Technology (IGT), sent a technician to verify the jackpot on Friday, July 22nd. The machine is known as a Wide Area progressive, which exists electronically connected to other casinos. The maximum jackpot on the machine reset to $500,000 immediately following the million-dollar win.
