Linscott Tabbed CCC Baseball Player of the Week

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Sam Linscott became the fifth Warrior in program history to hit for the cycle on Sunday, and he was rewarded on Monday by being voted the Cascade Conference WVT Laboratory Baseball Player of the Week.

Linscott had a historic day at the plate on Sunday. The senior’s 4-for-5 game included an RBI-double and go-ahead two-run home run in extra innings to complete the first LC State cycle since 2018.

Linscott totaled nine hits over the weekend, including three doubles, a triple and a big fly. He scored seven runs and knocked in three to help the No. 5 Warriors to four wins and a regular-season Cascade Conference title.

This is the third weekly honor for Linscott this season and 14th overall for LC State Baseball. He is the 50th Warrior to earn CCC weekly recognition this school year. The Warriors wrap up the regular season at home this weekend against Bushnell.
