LPD Emphasis Patrols Lead to DUIs and Plethora of Drug Seized.

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Police Department and the Idaho State Police participated in a DUI enforcement on Friday, April 22. The enforcement was focused from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

There were eight LPD officers, two ISP officers, and one LPD Communications Specialist that were dedicated to the emphasis. The focus was on DUI enforcement in the City of Lewiston.

Overall, there were:
27 Traffic Stops
Three DUI’s-Alcohol
One DUI-Drugs
Four Felony drug arrests
Seven Misdemeanor arrests
Five Infractions

The emphasis was focused on DUI enforcement but several other violations were observed and investigated. There were over 1.5 pounds of Methamphetamine, 1/2 oz of Heroin, and around 100 Fentanyl pills seized from the enforcement emphasis.

There were also arrests made for Felony Domestic Violence, Felony Stalking, and other drug offenses.

The Lewiston Police Department appreciates the assistance from the Idaho State Police. LPD plans to team up again with the Idaho State Police for more related emphasis in the area.
