POST FALLS – Just before 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Idaho State Police Troopers, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Deputies, and Post Falls Police Officers responded to the area of Interstate 90 near the Idaho-Washington border.
Police had received a report of a man near a Ford pickup, located in the interstate median, shooting a firearm towards the interstate as other vehicles were driving by. Early reports by witnesses said a rifle was being fired.
According to police, the interstate was shut down in both directions for a short period of time. Verbal commands were given to the man who was subsequently taken into custody without further incident.
