LEWISTON – The Lewis-Clark State Men’s Tennis team won every match in a non-team scoring contest with Bellevue College at the LCSC Tennis Center on Saturday.
Malte Sommer remained undefeated on the season with a three-set win against Cameron Yang 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. Sommer improved to 6-0 and earned a win in his first No. 1 singles match with LC State.
Cornelius Sia needed three sets to get past Zaid Khan in No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 win. Andy Wu earned his fourth win of the season with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jackson Stumph in No. 3 singles.
Thomas Schaap improved to 4-0 on the year with a straight set victory over Hunter Austin in No. 4 singles. Alvaro Camino in No. 5 singles and Juan Pablo Naranjo in No. 6 singles earned wins as well.
Sommer teamed up with Declan Townsend for a win in No. 1 doubles over Yang and Khan 6-2. Wu and Austin Swing won in No. 2 doubles and Sia teamed up with Schaap for a win in No. 3 doubles.
