On February 16, 2023, around 11 PM, Idaho County Dispatch took a call about a missing 59 year-old male in the Cottonwood area.

Idaho County deputies, Cottonwood Police Chief, and Idaho County Search and rescue responded to the area to search.

Idaho County deputies deployed their drone and Idaho County Search and Rescue canines located a scent. This combination allowed rescuers to track and locate the subject around 8 AM this morning.

The gentleman seemed to be in fair condition and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for evaluation. We wish to thank all agencies involved for their dedication and expertise in locating this gentleman.
