Montana Takes Weekend Opener Against Warrior Women’s Tennis

LEWISTON – Yelena Kim picked up a pair of victories on Friday against NCAA Division I Montana in a 5-2 loss. The match opens a tough weekend for LC State Women’s Tennis in the LCSC Tennis Center.

With the loss, the Warrior women are 4-3 on the season.

LC State picked up the doubles point with victories at in the first and third spots. Kim teamed up with Lina Boylan at No. 1 doubles for a 7-6 win, and Catherine Khardina and Anne Mathema battled to a 7-6 victory at No. 3 doubles.

Kim picked up the lone singles win at the top spot due to an injury default. The freshman won the first set 6-3 before her opponent retired in the second set.
