MOSCOW – The Rotary Club of Moscow is looking to sponsor a candidate for the 2024 Outbound Rotary Youth Exchange. This program gives local high school students the opportunity to study abroad in Europe, South America, or Asia and allows them to become global citizens with a richer understanding of the world and the skills to navigate it successfully.
As a global network of volunteers, one of the Rotary core values is diversity and our goal is to share that with high school students each year. The Youth Exchange Program offers an unparalleled opportunity for personal growth and development. By immersing themselves in a foreign culture and living with a host family for an extended period, students gain a deeper understanding of global perspectives, have the opportunity to learn a new language, discover another culture, and become a global citizen.
The Rotary Youth Exchange study abroad program is the lowest-cost youth exchange program managed by Rotary Volunteers all over the world. Being selected as a Rotary Youth Exchange student is a scholarship program in itself since many of the costs are covered by Rotary volunteers, host families, and Clubs. The Rotary Youth Exchange program covers room, board, tuition, and a monthly stipend while you are on your Exchange with an estimated value of over $24,000.
Participating in this Program provides students with a unique chance to build lasting international friendships. The bonds formed during this program often endure for a lifetime and can open doors to future opportunities, whether it’s international career connections or simply gaining a global network of friends who share diverse backgrounds and experiences. Additionally, students gain a new appreciation for their own culture and home country by viewing it through the eyes of their host country, fostering a sense of gratitude and a more well-rounded perspective.
