MESA, Ariz. – Warrior Golf senior Jorgen Lie Viken is set to compete at the 2023 NAIA Men’s Golf National Championship in Mesa, Ariz. May 16-19. The four-day tournament will be played at Las Sendas Golf Club, with a cut being made after the first two rounds.

Play begins on Tuesday at 7 a.m. Viken is scheduled to tee off at 1:40 p.m. with golfers from (RV) Campbellsville (Ky.) and Doane (Neb.). Viken is the top-ranked individual in the field at No. 15 in Golfstat. The field is comprised of 156 players made of 29 teams and not individuals.

Viken was named the Cascade Conference Golfer of the Year after leading the conference in scoring average at 72.1 in conference play. The Kongsberg, Norway, native won back-to-back tournaments to finish the regular season and tied for second at the CCC Championships.

This is the second year in a row that a Warrior will compete for an individual title at the national tournament, following Kristof Panke last season. First-year head coach Zach Anderson will travel with Viken.
