Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office Is Holding Boating Safety Course

LEWISTON – The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office has scheduled a free boating safety course on November 19, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Sheriff’s Office Training Room, located at 1150 Wall St. in Lewiston. The one-day course covers boating laws and boat safety.

Families are encouraged to take the course together so both the adults and children are familiar with boating laws and can safely operate their boats while on the water.

Some insurance companies offer discounts to boat owners that successfully complete the “Boat Idaho” boat safety course. Attendees are encouraged to check with their insurance agent to see if they qualify.

For more information or to register for the course, the public is encouraged to contact Deputy Derrick Wilkinsin: derrickw@co.nezperce.id.us or (208) 750-2088, ext. 4532.
