(Nezperce, ID) On January 8, a search warrant served on property located in Nezperce, Idaho yielded multiple firearms, controlled substances, and related paraphernalia.

The search was based on an investigation led by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from multiple other agencies including the Idaho State Police, Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Federal Bureau of Investigations and Spokane Police Department, which resulted in the issuance of a search warrant for the property.

Joshua I. Hamilton, 45, of Nezperce, is currently being held on ten counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Sheriff Jason Davis reports that the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming. Davis stated, “I’m extremely proud of the work of my deputies on this investigation and am thankful for the cooperation of the many agencies that were involved. The people of Lewis County can rest assured that this agency and all of our partners will be diligent in investigating reports throughout our community and bringing all available resources to bear.”
