****UPDATE: NICKOLAS JACOBSON SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS IN PRISON
In Nez Perce County District Court today, District Judge Michelle Evans sentenced Nickolas Jacobson to 15 years in prison with a mandatory minimum of 10 years before he is eligible for parole and a $25,000 fine. 
NICKOLAS JACOBSON FOUND GUILTY OF DRUG TRAFFICKING NEARLY TWO POUNDS OF METHAMPHETAMINE
After a two day jury trial in Nez Perce County District Court, Nickolas Jacobson (49 yoa, Lewiston) was found guilty by a jury for Trafficking Methamphetamine. Lewiston Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on Mr. Jacobson in 2018 and located recorded money from a controlled buy in his vehicle. Detectives then went to his residence and learned there were guns and drugs inside. When a search warrant was granted, the Detectives discovered a large amount of drug paraphernalia, digital scales, pipes, baggies, and 600 grams of methamphetamine inside a safe. Mr. Jacobson was arrested for drug Trafficking the nearly pound and a half of meth.
Following the guilty verdict, District Court Judge Michelle Evans scheduled Mr. Jacobson for sentencing on November 16, 2023. The crime of Trafficking in Methamphetamine over 400 grams is 10 years to life and a maximum fine of $100,000. The case was handled by elected Prosecutor Justin Coleman and Deputy Prosecutor Jazz Patzer.
