LEWISTON – At 3:20 p.m. the Lewiston Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 119 North Garden Court. The first arriving crews found smoke coming from all sides of the residence.
Crews attacked the fire with a pre-connected hose line and the fire was knocked down in 5 minutes. (Crews remained on the scene for an additional 60 minutes to check for extension and overhaul the fire. Fire investigators on the scene are working to determine the cause of the fire.
The department responded with 3 structure engines, 3 ambulances, 3 chief officers and 1 fire inspector. We received automatic aid from Clearwater Paper Fire Department and Asotin County Fire Department.
The estimated damage to the residence and contents was $50,000. There were no citizen or firefighter injuries.
