PAYETTE – Idaho State Police is investigating a pedestrian vs. train collision that occurred on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 6:35 pm, on NW 10th Avenue and Washoe Road, in Payette County.
A 29-year-old female from Payette was walking southbound on the railroad tracks. The train was traveling northbound and hit the female.
The female succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Traffic in the intersection was blocked for approximately three hours allowing emergency responders to investigate those involved and clear the scene.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
